Bye bye, LEGO!

Aw, yesterday was the last day of Wheels, Wings & Waves — A LEGO World of Transportation. Let us all have a moment of silence for this great exhibit as it moves on to warm hearts and delight LEGO lovers in another part of Canada.

Yesterday we had a quick little contest here for patrons to guess the number of bricks in the 9 foot tall space shuttle that the public helped build way back in May.

Lowest answer: 100
Highest answer: 100 trillion

Of 120 entries, very few were actually close. Lots of people guessed way under, in the 10,000 range, and lots guessed way up in the millions. A few were around the 400,000 mark.

Actual answer? 260,000. Of course we don’t know the exact number, but that’s as close a number as we have.

Now, I’d better call the winner to let him know he can pick up his prize — a LEGO sign autographed by Robin Sather, Canada’s only LEGO Certified Professional!

Stay curious,
