New addition

The Critter Cave has welcomed a new addition — a bearded dragon! Bearded dragons are native to Australia and look like this:

Barb the bearded dragon

That is Barb. He is pretty cool. He? Yep, he! The people who donated him gave him that name, and we like it quite a lot. Today I learned that Barb eats about 80% greens and 20% insects. Most of the week he gets salad, but on Wednesdays and Saturdays he gets 4 or 5 crickets. Yum!

Here is some more info about Barb:

And here is where Barb lives:

Bearded dragon habitat

It used to be the home of the boa constrictor, but we needed to make space. And luckily for Larry, our boa, we have some very excellent people who made him this gorgeous habitat.

Larry and I were having a chat the other day, and he tells me he loves the new digs. He looks pretty happy to me.

Stay curious,
